While she loved her home, she had a burning desire to travel and create positive social change in the world. She moved to Washington D.C. where she attended American University’s School of International Service to find her place in the international development community. She found her calling after participating in a radical Fair Trade, de-colonial study abroad program in Ecuador run by the Pachaysana Institute. Following this experience, she knew she wanted to work in exchange programs to help achieve social justice objectives, create equitable relationships, and foster new generations of creative global thinkers. Last summer, Stephanie dove head-first into her career as the international program coordinator in Bolivia with the Foundation for Sustainable Development; there, she helped facilitate their summer internship program. Now Stephanie is excited to continue her career in international education with Global Glimpse and return to the place where it was inspired.
